Jetstone subscription terms
Version 2026-10-30
These terms are an agreement between Black Shard Pty Ltd (ABN 66 696 910 773), Level 35, Riparian Plaza, 71 Eagle Street, Brisbane QLD 4000 ("Black Shard", "we") and the business that creates a Jetstone workspace ("you").
1. What you are buying
1.1 Jetstone is detection and response software for Windows devices and Microsoft 365 sign-ins. It has three parts: the agent installed on each device, the cloud service that analyses what the agents and your Microsoft 365 tenant report, and the console (web, mobile and desktop) where you see incidents and approve, dismiss or undo actions.
1.2 A subscription covers a number of devices for twelve months. The number is the device count on your plan or on the activation key you redeemed.
1.3 Jetstone is software. It does not include a managed service, a security operations centre, a human analyst or phone response. Black Shard's separate services are sold under separate terms.
2. Your workspace and your account
2.1 The person who creates the workspace is its owner and confirms they may bind the business to these terms.
2.2 You keep sign-in credentials, passkeys and devices used to reach the console secure, and you tell us at info@blackshard.com.au if you believe an account has been used without your permission.
2.3 You may invite other people to your workspace. You are responsible for what they do in it.
3. Trial
3.1 A workspace created online starts a 14-day trial. A card is collected to open the console. Nothing is charged during the trial.
3.2 We email you 7 days and 1 day before the trial ends with the date and the amount that will be charged.
3.3 If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged and the workspace closes at the end of the trial.
4. Price, billing and renewal
4.1 Prices are in Australian dollars and are shown including GST where GST applies. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.
4.2 Online subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term on the card on file, at the price then current. We tell you the renewal date and amount at least 30 days before a twelve-month renewal.
4.3 Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe holds your card details; we never see the full card number.
4.4 If a payment fails, the workspace stays open for 30 days while the payment is retried and you can update the card. After that the workspace is locked until payment clears. A locked workspace keeps its data under clause 9.
4.5 Activation keys bought from a reseller or under a volume agreement are paid for under that agreement. These terms govern the use of the workspace they open.
5. Automatic actions
5.1 Jetstone can act on its own on a device or an account: stop a process, quarantine a file, isolate a device from the network, sign a user out or revoke sessions. You choose a policy preset that sets which actions run without asking you. Every automatic action is logged and can be undone from the console or from the notification.
5.2 Fixed guardrails limit automatic isolation. They are described in the console and cannot be switched off.
5.3 Jetstone may miss a threat and may act on activity that turns out to be legitimate. You remain responsible for your systems, your backups and your decisions about them.
6. Microsoft 365 connection
6.1 Connecting Microsoft 365 is optional. It needs a Microsoft 365 administrator to consent to the Jetstone application in your tenant. You can withdraw the consent at any time in Microsoft Entra.
6.2 With the connection in place, Jetstone reads sign-in and audit records from your tenant and, under your policy, revokes sessions, disables accounts, removes inbox rules and revokes application grants.
7. Acceptable use
Your use of Jetstone is subject to the Jetstone acceptable use policy at /legal/acceptable-use/.
8. Your data
8.1 You own the data your devices and tenant send to Jetstone. We process it to provide Jetstone, under the data processing terms at /legal/dpa/ and the privacy policy at /legal/privacy/.
8.2 Where your data is stored and processed is set out in the residency page at /residency/.
9. Cancellation and closing a workspace
9.1 You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal. The workspace stays open until the end of the term you paid for.
9.2 When a workspace closes, you can export its incidents, devices and audit records for 30 days. Raw device telemetry is held in storage that cannot be altered or deleted for 12 months from when it was received, and is deleted when that period ends.
10. Consumer guarantees
10.1 Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
10.2 Where the law allows, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee for services that are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
11. Liability
11.1 Subject to clause 10, our total liability under or in connection with these terms in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid for Jetstone in that period.
11.2 Subject to clause 10, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss.
12. Changes
12.1 We may change these terms by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. A change that is to your detriment does not apply to the term you have already paid for unless you agree.
13. General
13.1 These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
13.2 Notices to us go to info@blackshard.com.au. Notices to you go to the workspace owner's email address.
